Cash Runway Calculator
A cash runway calculator estimates how many months your business can keep operating before the cash runs out. Enter your cash balance and your typical monthly cash coming in and going out below, then press Calculate. It is a rough guide, and nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.
How does a financial runway calculator work out runway?
Net cash burn is cash going out each month minus cash coming in. Runway is your cash balance divided by that net burn. If cash in is at least as large as cash out, the business is not burning cash and runway is not the constraint.
Why the answer is only a guide
Real months do not repeat. Customers pay late, big bills arrive in lumps and sales move with the season. Use a typical month, then try a worse month to see how fast the answer changes. A thirteen-week cash flow forecast is the better tool when timing matters.

Common questions
What is a financial runway calculator?
A financial runway calculator estimates the number of months a business can keep paying its costs from the cash it has, at its current rate of net cash burn. That number of months is the cash runway.
How often should I check my runway?
It is sensible to check it monthly when the books are closed. Rechecking after any large change in income or costs is sensible.
Is my data saved?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.
